Understanding Biblical Prophecy

For Christianity, one of the foundational beliefs is that the Bible is the inspired word of God.

Given that the Bible fulfills the first requirement to be considered inspired (that it claims to be the inspired word of God), Christians are tasked with proving its claims to be true. There are many ways to go about doing so, since the Bible possesses many characteristics that help to prove its claim of inspiration.

New or Classic Coca-Cola?

If you were around back in the 80’s, then you experienced a marketing nightmare for one of the world’s leading soft drink distributors. Since 1942, Coca-Cola’s marketing share had dropped from 60% down to 24%. They were seeing companies such as Pepsi (born here in the Carolinas) and other diet drinks really taking the market share.

The Power of Love

I can’t believe it is February. The beginning part of the year has absolutely just flown by. It seems like yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas and the New Year. If you have been to a store recently you have probably noticed that all of the Christmas trees, ornaments, and gifts have been changed out with seemingly endless amounts of heart shaped candies and chocolate. That means that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. A day where we celebrate love and spend a lot of money on cards and candy for people we deeply care about. It is a reminder to us during a cold, dreary season to show heartwarming love and encouragement to one another.

In the Light

When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to visit the Cumberland Gap on the borders of Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia. While up there, my family visited a cave there called Gap Cave. After walking in and following a path for a short while, it became very dark, with the only light coming from the National Park Ranger’s lamp. When we reached a large cavern, our guide stopped us and gathered everyone together. He then turned off the lamp, plunging us all into absolute, pitch-black darkness.
